Sourced from our own Gisborne vineyards, this elegant and easily approachable Sauvignon Blanc is softer and more refined than its ‘zestier’ Marlborough counterpart. Gisborne’s warmer climate, coastal influence and fertile soils enable us to produce a softer, more delicate style of Sauvignon Blanc with layers of ripe fruit and subtle savoury nuances.

Delightfully fruited and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, mango, kiwifruit and lemon peel aromas, leading to a juicy palate that's lively and flavoursome. Upfront and tasty with plenty of youthful fruit flavours.

This Rosé is a delightfully dry wine which combines the herbaceous gooseberry and passion fruit of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with the strawberry notes of Marlborough Pinot Noir.

This is a refreshing Sauvignon Rosé burst with vibrant freshness and acidity, great on it's own for a hot summer's day.

Recognisably salmon pink in colour, The Ned Pinot Grigio (aka Pinot Gris) showcases classic aromas of quince, pear drop and vibrant stonefruit. The palate is lush with juicy nectarine and Braeburn flavours supported by an underlying hint of spice that leads to an unctuous ripe finish.

The cool weather of the Awatere Valley brings out the brilliant aromatics in Pinot Gris. The bouquet of our 2018 is a beautiful compilation of spicy pear, nashi, bright fruit and ginger. The palate is rich, oily and viscous with the bright, fresh acidity it is known for.

Attractive fruit sweetness with subtle savoury notes, displaying dark cherry, plum, smoked meat and dried herb characters on the nose. The palate is ripe and rounded, and delivers elegant fruit intensity together with polished tannins.

A luscious and aromatic wine, Vavasour Pinot Noir demonstrates the beauty of cool-climate vineyards. The 2016 Pinot Noir is an elegant wine. Aromas of dark plum, violet and earth lead to a rich and complex palate. The mouthfeel is velvety and warm, full of plum and savoury characters.

Single Vineyard PAPA is typically, fresh, zingy and vibrant.
Vavasour 'Claudia' has now been renamed 'PAPA', which is named after the soils in the region.

Fermented in old oak, the palate exhibits luscious stone fruit flavours with an underlying mineral note which is typical of this vineyard.

Almost creamy like in texture. Long ripe pear, dried honey, herbaceous cedar and spice after taste. Awesome wine!

Single Vineyard PAPA Chardonnay from the Awatere Valley is a lively, elegant, serious Chardonnay.
The grapes for this wine are carefully selected and hand-picked. The fruit is then whole bunch pressed to seasoned French oak and fermented with indigenous yeast and aged 14 months

The palate is elegant in proportion, but very concentrated with fresh, bright citrus fruits that have a luscious note, some tropical fruit hints, nutty oak and racy, minerally acidity. Very fine textures carry the line to a long nutty, toast infused citrus fruit finish.

Match with grilled seafood and poultry

This Chardonnay is fresh, fragrant and mouthwatering. The nose is redolent of orchard fruit, white peach, apricot, blossom and warm hay. A dart of citrus acidity delivers freshness and leads to a long and appealing finish.

The Cloudy Bay 2019 Pinot Noir is deep, dark-fruited and aromatic. The nose is laden with notes of bramble berries, graphite and morello cherry.
On the palate you’ll find Victoria plum, loganberry and autumn fruit held together with fine, silky tannins and balanced with juicy acidity. The finish is long and the wine is exceptionally moreish.

Cloudy Bay Te Koko has full bodied palate of citrus fruits with the richer flavours of caramel and nougat, leading to a crisp yet spicy finish.
Able to age for up to five years, this wine an ideal partner to tuna, oysters and poached fish.
