    Mooncake Pairing - Durian Mooncake 榴連月餅: This Riesling has a medium-sweet palate. Flavours of bruised apple, dried citrus and honey pair well with the intense and unique aromas of the Durian. The medium acidity in this wine tempers the high sweetness of the Durian.

    It is the vines that take root in a steep, weathered slate soil in Rotliegend and produce very aromatic small berries. An impressively slate spicy note that combines with a certain saltiness and a hint of mint and lemon balm. There is still no indication of any residual sweetness in the Riesling. This only shows up on the palate when the wine fans out and reveals its creamy, silky texture. This is a wine for lovers of fine, elegant Riesling with a perfect interplay of fruit and acidity.

    The Auslese vinified from this location with weathered slate is reminiscent of lemon, lime, grapefruit and a hint of sweetness that lies above all the other flavors. The ripe fruit of the vintage is evident on the palate. But even if the wine initially appears sweet, it quickly becomes clearer and finer. Structures itself with air and leaves room for the fine acidity, as well as the lively mineral note that this selection possesses.
