Bin Ends

Amazing Deals on Bin End Wines, 20% Off!

The term ‘bin’ refers to the bricked off areas of winery cellars where wines are stored to mature. Each of these bins has a number making it easy for cellar hands to locate each wine that the winery produces or matures.
The terms ‘bin-ends’ or ‘odd bins’ refer to the last few bottles of a bin that need to be moved or sold before the next vintage or wine is stored in that bin.
Over time the terms have been more broadly used by the wine industry to identify any wines that need to be moved through and sold quickly.

Stoney River Sauvignon Blanc, Gisborne, New Zealand

Sourced from our own Gisborne vineyards, this elegant and easily approachable Sauvignon Blanc is softer and more refined than its ‘zestier’ Marlborough counterpart. Gisborne’s warmer climate, coastal influence and fertile soils enable us to produce a softer, more delicate style of Sauvignon Blanc with layers of ripe fruit and subtle savoury nuances.

Delightfully fruited and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, mango, kiwifruit and lemon peel aromas, leading to a juicy palate that's lively and flavoursome. Upfront and tasty with plenty of youthful fruit flavours.

To accentuate the lemon and lime varietal character of the Chardonnay grape the wine is unoaked, yet extended lees ageing and battonage softens the acidity and add layers of texture and a hint of creaminess. A fresh yet complex and beautifully balanced English Chardonnay.
